A Message from the Director: Administrative Professionals Week |
Behind the scenes of every organization is a group of individuals who work diligently to make things happen and inspire others. It is during Administrative Professionals Week that we recognize the incredible support we receive from the secretaries, administrative assistants, receptionists, and other administrative support professionals who keep our schools and offices running. Over the years, this special week has become one of the largest workplace observances. According to the U.S. Department of Labor, people working in various administrative support roles are among the largest occupations in the U.S. economy, employing more than 8.9 million workers. Millions more administrative professionals work in private and public businesses throughout the world.
This year the theme is “Excellence in Action.” It is with sincere appreciation that I extend a special thank you to all administrative professionals for the exceptional services you provide to our students, parents, educators, and community members. Your tireless spirit remains at the heart of our achievement, getting the impossible accomplished and specializing in making our work lives a little easier each and every day.
Please join me in honoring and celebrating our Administrative Professionals on April 22nd and throughout the week. I hope everyone in DoDDS-Pacific/DDESS-Guam will take a moment this week to thank the people who work in your offices for the support they provide to our school system.
