Superintendent of Public Instruction where she was responsible for 49 school districts, 7,000 teachers and 100,000 students. During this period of her career, she also served on the University of Wyoming Board of Trustees, Wyoming Community College Commission, and the Wyoming State Board of Education.
Ms. Ohman’s early career included 19 years serving three school districts across Wyoming as a teacher, principal, special education director, and director of a migrant students’ summer program.
Ohman has a bachelor’s degree in elementary education and a master’s degree in education administration from the University of Wyoming.
Her distinguished career includes recognition as a 2009 Casper College Distinguished Alumna, 2006 University of Wyoming College of Education Distinguished Alumna, the 1990 Wyoming Principal of the Year, 1984 Campbell County Professional Woman of the Year, and 1980 Campbell County Teacher of the Year.
